Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you’ll be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide from Enoma Africa Safaris. After a short briefing about your upcoming safari, you’ll be transferred to your lodge in Arusha for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a wildlife haven famed for its towering baobabs, large elephant herds, and remarkable biodiversity. The Tarangire River, flowing through the park, attracts countless animals during the dry season creating incredible game viewing opportunities. Expect to see lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and an impressive variety of bird species.

After a picnic lunch and an extended game drive, continue to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight surrounded by nature’s symphony.

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders. Often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this ancient caldera shelters the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa including the Big Five and the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy your packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the crater. Later, ascend the crater wall and continue your journey towards Serengeti National Park, arriving by late afternoon for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Wake up early for a full-day game drive in the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. This vast ecosystem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move in search of greener pastures shadowed by predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

With its sweeping savannahs, rocky kopjes, and riverine forests, Serengeti offers unparalleled wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities. Enjoy your packed lunch at a scenic picnic spot before continuing your afternoon exploration. Return to your tented camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy one last morning game drive through the plains of the Serengeti. Then begin your drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with chances to spot more wildlife along the way.

Arrive at your lodge by late afternoon. Relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend your last evening under the African night sky.

Marera Valley Lodge

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This small but stunning park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, flocks of pink flamingos, and large elephant herds. The park’s diversity from dense forests to open grasslands and the shimmering lake provides a unique and memorable safari experience.

After lunch at a picnic site, enjoy your final game drive before returning to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
